Author Topic: Rain. Rain Everywhere.  (Read 3871 times)

So, out here in the American desert southwest, you may all know that we only get small amounts of rain all year. Less then a foot in reality.

So when we went from our 100 degree "relief" weather last week, to the now rain and thunderstorms today, you can imagine my excitement. I went to school with a large overcast sky, hoping it would sprinkle a bit. Later in the day, we started feeling heavier winds, and then as school was ending the rain started. Pouring out of the loving sky along with golf ball sized hail, and possible tornadoes. This isn't normal, and was not expected.

Same area here. Most of the day was going pretty sunny. Later in the day, we start to see an ominous wall of black clouds heading towards us, completely solid. It was quite frightening.

Anyway, within about 10 minutes after that, it started sprinkling. A minute after that, we were being hammered by hail the size of golf balls.

Cars got dented. :(
