Also, this thread makes oro confuse. If the world was an infinite plane spanning across the galaxy, would there be 2 sides? If you dig through one side, will you end up in the other side?

The world would have to be flat in this case. Wireless signals do well in a flat environment; the major limitation of wireless communication in our current world is the curvature of the planet.

honestly it would probably relatively similar to what we have now. groups of densely packed cities and towns. The only difference would probably be less land disputes... or more, depending on how spread out resources are.
