Best to use a good quality cardstock and glue.

 My dad's made tons of those :/
 My favorite is the one he made with 1 massive ball, a medium ball inside of that, a smaller ball inside of the medium one, and a tiny ball inside of the smaller one. It's made of sticky notes.
 We also have a stick notes halo :D

Lack of time constrained me to 1 poorly made pokeball and 1 lovey umbreon. I still have like 8000 pieces of cardstock left from 2 years ago when I got a huge box of it because my uncle owns a cardstock company.
