Building Tips
For Building Realisticly

Tips by Penguin/Person:
When building, your goal is usually to create your build as realistic as possible. That can be done with something called "detail". Lots of detail is good, but sometimes less is more. I also ask questions to myself while I build. Asking questions to yourself while you build can help a lot. You won't have to go back and change stuff so much and you will have more confidence in what you build while you build it. Some of these questions I ask myself are:

•What exactly am I trying to build?
•Will it fit in with the builds surrounding it?
•Does this look like something that would be built in real life?
•Do the colors look well together?
•Would a real building be colored the same way?
•How does my exterior effect my interior?
•How does my interior effect my exterior?
•Do they match?

Once you finish, think about how it looks overall, and what others might say about it.

Tips by Facechild:

• Smoke a massive blunt.
• Start Blockland.
• Start building.
• ???
• Profit.

Tips by Uristqwerty:

• Leave room for adjustment.
• Save often, keep old versions.
• Disable unnessecary non-default add-ons.
• Keep a few administrative tools available.
• if you intend to share your build, try using a common colourset, so that others can get the best results when they load it.

Tips by The Doctor:

• Build on a baseplate
• Use macro (If needed)
• Dont use any small bricks (like 1x1x5, or 1x1 bricks, becuase they will lag)
• Try to use as little lighting, or emitters as possible
• For walls, dont use 2x4's, or 2x2's (or a little as possible), use 1x12x5's, or anything large.

If you want to add to this, post your tips below (in the same format would be nice) and I will add them to the OP (and give you credit for them, of course).

Several of these i don't think about..

A lot of the time i don't know what im trying to build.. I just wing it. Also on freebuild servers it doesnt matter if it would fit in. What about Space RPs and big Space ships.. Those arnt built in real life.. Why does it matter if a real building would be colored the same way? its about your imagination, and i think your tips are kind of throwing that off.

You can't modify in the Help Section, plus Suggestions and Tips are nearly the same.

Tip: Leave room for adjustment.
Always ensure that if you must change something, you don't have to rebuild from nothing. You can do this by ensuring that every piece has redundant support and only ever using the hammer to remove bricks.

Tip: Save often, keep old versions.
Don't forget to save frequently. This is obvious, because you don't want to lose your work. Furthermore, if you are going to rebuild something, it is often a good idea to keep the old save and start a new one, so that if you ever change your mind, you can return to the previous version, even if you saved multiple times since then.

Online hosting tips:

Tip: Disable unnessecary non-default add-ons.
Leaving extra add-ons enabled means that joining clients might need to download more before they can play, and sometimes leads to annoyances like bullet spam while you are trying to build. Failed and low quality add-ons especially, as those tend to be especially spammable and exploitable. Nothing like being mini-nuked every ten seconds to make building difficult and laggy, even if it can't affect you or your bricks.

Tip: Keep a few administrative tools available.
One or two ways to move/remove an unwanted player or vehicle is always nice, and there are plenty of add-ons that give you more control over what other players can and cannot do. Being able to quickly end disruption will help you get back to building.

Finally, if you intend to share your build, try using a common colourset, so that others can get the best results when they load it.

Thanks!  It's summarized but I added it :3

Tips:
1: save often
2:Dont use wand as much, use hammer
3:Build on a baseplate
4:Use macro (If needed)
5:Dont use any small bricks (like 1x1x5, or 1x1 bricks, becuase they will lag)
6:Dont event to often, or else it will lag also
7:Try to use as little lighting, or emitters as possible E.g. 1x1 with F.strobe, and fog emitted will lag everyone
8:For walls, dont use 2x4's, or 2x2's (or a little as possible), use 1x12x5's, or anything large. That will decrease lag.

These are some building/wrench tips.

1st, sometimes 1x1 bricks are needed.

2nd, using macro lags and makes it boring, building slowly makes it a much funner time, 'coz macro makes it go so fast you're done in two secs. It takes away the fun.

3rd, for walls, 2x2's and 2x4's are half and half in the rarity 'coz they take up alot of space around the baseplate, and it will get a bit non-spacious. Also, if you're gonna do brick pat', 1x2, 2x4, 9x16 (lol) and so on are prefect because the first or second number is half the opposing.

4th, saving helps, 'coz if you liked something before you added some bricks, you can just load it back. Best to save it as (Name)Backup_*Number*.  Example: HouseBackup_4
It helps alot.

5th and finally, if you're gonna put in lights, get the light packs and use dim, ambient and so on. The player light is too bright.

These are my tips. :3

Uhm, it won't if you have a PC in this galaxy. :3
