Japanese Anime is like smoking stress daily, you like it but can't live without it another day. It's all about the quantity. The money. The episodes. The ratings. For example, The Last Airbender/Naruto/Guru Laggon/Pokemon have like 500 loving episodes but they are usually the same stuff; blood, gore, love & more blood. Each one usually lasts to the miniscule amount of 15 minutes, not counting the ads or "Last time on ____!" parts. No drama or touching moments at all. No humor. And even when there is, it makes no loving sense because it's based on Japanese culture.
It's more like a failed action flick with a bunch of 4 year olds jumping around flying to impossible heights, trying to slice each other to peices with kitchen knives while yelling untranslatable stuff and grunting and shouting like it's a loving tennis match.
I would take American Cartoons over Japanese Anime anyday. I can relate to it. I can laugh about it. Good examples of such shows are Family Guy, Looney Tunes, and the various old Disney cartoons.
