Server Notifier

Would it be possible for someone to make something somewhat like the IRC notifier, but it does it for servers?
Ex: I put in the name "Badspot" in the server notifier, and then when ever I get on Blockland, a thing will come up saying, "Badspot's Treasure Hunt is UP". Or, if it gets shut down, "Badspot's Treasure Hunt is DOWN". And this would happen every time the server was put/down.

It is possible, and is easy to make, but would only be able to check like very 5 minutes or so, or else you would lag a lot.

It would check whenever you refresh the server list.

If you make the server list refresh automatically, that would make it hell to browse.

The IRC notifier works smoothly because the IRC server sends active updates about individual users, messages, and etc.
The server notifier wouldn't work so well because the client has to call for the entire list of servers and information, and does not actively receive updates about small details.

So is that why it couldn't do it every five minutes? Your idea (with the refreshing the server list) sounds good.

However, if you continuously refresh the server list, it's going to make it very tedious to browse the list, especially if you sort by players, map, dedi, or pass.

Or you could make it so the mod posts your location/server status to a central server every once and a while, but that would mean you could only see the locations/server statuses of those who also have the mod.

That or you could do manual calls to the Blockland master server that wouldn't affect the actual list you see.

This is very possible. In fact, I've seen it done. Destiny/Zack0Wack0 did it.
