You don't know how to event then, but that always works for me.

don't use v4 varaibles, use VCE

also, onplayertalk is for when they're touching a brick and they enter a message, and you could always put a loop on them compairing a varaible to what they last said, if !=, set the variable to their last message and trigger things, and continue the loop
