Source SDKBut you'll need steam and at least one source game first. (Left 4 Dead, Left 4 Dead 2, and Portal 2 do not count)
You can easily make 3D games in Game Maker. Problem is Game Maker can't render a lot of TRUE 3D models and their collision isn't the most accurate. If you know how to code properly though, it's possible.
I heard source is heavy on CPU or something.I'm not much of a coder, so it would be a little complicated.

Yeah it's a bit tricky. You can actually use bump mapping in Game Maker instead of linedefs but I'm not quite sure how to.
LOLNOits from 2004, and even macs can run it.Also, making a source mod requires little to no coding if your just making levels with zombies in them.

To make this easier, I want to make something have somewhat the graphics like in Dead Frontier, but first person and stuff.
Graphics isn't a lot to go by. Any engine can support good graphics as long as if the computer can handle them. Also like I said, Torque Engine.
