I noticed this too. Maybe it's because I have such low explosives skill, but I shot a mininuke at a group of legionnaires and they survived with at least half health. Even the one that the nuke landed right next to. I then dropped the fatman on the ground and never bothered with one again.

Well my explosives is 100 and the Fatman I have is fully repaired, but it only does a measly 90 DAM and its DPS is around 150. Also considering the fact that Mini-Nukes are hard to come by.

Its still pretty weak, like what Qwepir said, even at the condition I have it at, it only takes away half the damage of the legionare recruits I fight.

What the stuff that is just awful. The only thing it has going for it is splash damage. It should be literally the most overpowered weapon in the game, not just a beefy grenade launcher.

Here, just to show the differences to clear things up;

I'm pretty sure the damage system in New Vegas is different somehow, compare any NV weapon to it's FO3 counterpart and you'll see that FO3 weapons were more damaging. But none of the differences were that drastic.

I just let Boone carry my Fatman, I'll probably sell mine.

I used to use Boone after Arcade wouldn't follow me anymore because I completed his personal quest. But then I realized Boone was the hero and I was the sidekick, and I sent him back to Novac. Now I just use ED-E and Lily. I'd love to have a mod or something that brings back RL-3 so I can have 2 robot followers.
