I have garry's mod, and i'm logged into steam.

Well your computer is forgeted up ( by you) then because you should have that if you logged in. So good riddance. And i am proud that your steam is not working now.

Edit: I didn't make this topic to get flamed, i made it to get help.

And i am proud that your steam is not working now.
Why would you be proud over someone else's misfortune?

The only thing I can suggest is reinstalling steam. Sorry :c

Well that sucks.. Hmm.
I did reinstall steam, but it did'nt get rid of garry's mod.

If you have a 64 bit OS check Program Files (x86) instead

If you have a 64-bit OS it wouldn't be in the other folder at all and this wouldnt be a problem.

I got XP, and how do i tell if its Gmod 9? I didn't pay attention

Gmod 9 is the free one.

The only thing I can think of is that you uninstalled it and reinstalled it somewhere else.

Yeah i don't have nine. Gmod works but it's odd how there is no file for it.
