Author Topic: Reflective materials in blender?  (Read 1359 times)

I have seen it done before, but have never been able to figure it out myself. How do I make a material reflect its surroundings like chrome? The effect Im going for is this:

Epic, huh?

Anyone know how to do this?

EDIT:I am unaware of the modeling program used to make this addon.

What? That thing's epic :U

Either way, thats not the topic here. I want the reflective material, not the mesh. Stay on-topic and dont post anything if its pointless in the first place :/

Why do you want you model To be a Chrome style ingame I think you have to be in editor mod and find it on the list

What does it matter what I want it for? I just want reflective materials because they look sweet. Once again, unless you know how to do it, dont post. It has nothing to do with mission editor; thats impossible.

I meant Editor mod in blender Jeez

Please explain this stuff you seem to be pulling out of your ass.

There is no "Editor mod" in Blender.

The closest thing to what you said is Edit Mode. But I'm assuming since you didn't even spell it correctly that you don't even use Blender in the first place.

Amen.

That pic is pretty damn cool. You need to use way less chrome when you model it though. Too much is bad.

Your exporter is different than mine....

The reflectivity controls are still there though. Thank you so much for that.

Eh...

It worked, but the reflecting doesnt show up in first person?
