What are the rules?
The rules are quite simple and fair to follow and understand.

Quote
EdgeGamers™ Server and Forum Code of Conduct (Public Rules):

1. No foul, degrading, or tribal remarks.
2. No inappropriate or disrespectful sprays or names.
* All sprays and avatar icons used on eGO servers should be PG-13 rated. No nudity is allowed. Final decisions on what is acceptable are left up to the admins in the server.
3. No cheating, cheat scripts, barrier jumping, map exploits or hacks of any kind.
4. No griefing.
5. No F10 or Alt-F4 jokes.
6. No advertising in servers.
7. No names or sprays that advocate or oppose a political figure, political stance, religion or nation.
8. No website URLs in names, sprays or avatars.
9. No impersonating admins.
10. No arguing with admins.
11. Do not disrupt the server in any way.
12. Do not pester admins.
13. Admins have final say in server.

By becoming a member, you agree to and are expected to abide by the rules listed above.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------
As an eGO member, you will be held to a higher standard of conduct than non-members. This means "gray" or "marginal" conduct permitted by a public player may not be permissible by a member.

You are responsible for your actions in the entire online gaming world, whether or not you are wearing an EdgeGamers™ tag. This means that you could be removed from EdgeGamers™ for bad conduct on servers or forums outside of eGO.

In holding ourselves to a higher standard of conduct, we lead by example and it is more likely you will be kicked or banned for rule breaking than someone who hasn't become a member.

How do I get to be an eG or eGO?

Quote
Skill level has nothing to do with promotions. EdgeGamers promotes on the basis of a member's maturity. We would rather have someone who can barely play, is a lot of fun, and carries with them a sense of integrity, than someone who is PWNTASTIC and acts immaturely.

Getting promoted to =(eG)=™, =(eGO)=™ or Leadership has nothing to do with your time in the community. It is the effort you put into the servers and the contributions you make to the clan that are factored into all promotions.

Other aspects we look at include:

1. Your playing time in the servers and love of the game.

2. Your maturity and ability to make the correct decisions in the servers. (Are you ready to switch sides when needed, or do you instead just say, "TEAMS"?)

3. Your forum activity - Do you contribute to the clan outside of playing the game? (Some members are promoted only on server time and not on forum activity. People are rarely promoted based on forum activity alone.)

4. Location - We might promote members who live in time zones outside of the USA quicker since we need admin coverage during all hours.

5. Donations and Dedicated Supporter status do not guarantee a promotion, but they do get you noticed.

Leadership is always watching to see who is ready, but the best way NOT to get promoted is by ASKING FOR A PROMOTION. Just play and have fun.
How can I communicate with other members of eGO?

Oh, those guys with the wildly annoying tag?  I hate that thing.

It's actually quite fun. There's also gaming gear give aways every now and then.

Meh.... If they had xbox 360's I would be up, but steam just isn't my thing anymore. Gmod and Cs:s got old

Maturity?

On the internet?

I was part of that for like a day or two. I'm that not big on clans. But I always go to their 2Fort server.

eGo servers are loving terrible and eGo players are richardheads.

I guess that's why they call it eGo!  :cookieMonster:
