Right now i have 100+ dollars i planned on using for a psp and monster hunter.
but now that new vegas came out and i've never owned a next-gen console before, im leaning towards ps3 because i have more money on the way. however, saving up 6-700 more would allow me to buy a DECENT computer.
or should i buy an xbox just because i loving can

PC

This is a non-issue.

A gaming laptop
A really good one

PS3 has free online gaming.
Just saying.

A PC could last save you more money in the long run than one of the next gens because it seems this console generation is approaching it's end, but get a console if you like the exclusives.

Xbox has monthly paying with exclusive exclusives and non-laggy online gaming.
Just saying.

I'd still rather get a PC since it can do everything a console can.

Pros:
PC. No payment for playing online. Thousands of amazing games, free and not-free. Highest capability for better graphics. Multitasking. Ease of accessing files (explorer). Mouse and keyboard. Connection runs as it should. Downloadable games

PS3. No payment for playing online. Games that aren't available on the PC/360. Downloadable games.

360. Games that aren't available on the PC/PS3. Connection runs as it should. Downloadable games.

lol psp

the thing about the PC is that it would take a long ass time to save up money for it

Invest. Make more monies

Xbox online costs but it runs smooth without much lag

Bull stuff.
Playing a 360 online was quite smooth for me.

No payment for playing online.
Well, you pay the state for using the internet (dunno how this works, we don't have to pay for the internet but its included in the phone bill)

You also pay for internet on xbox + live so ps3 is cheaper that way.

Yes, that is because of your connection, not because Xbox Live
