Disney Interactive Studios and Propaganda Games are currently producing a game for Xbox 360, PC, and PS3, called "Pirates of the Caribbean: Armada of the Damned"(hence the topic title). It's not coming out till Spring 2011. This game has nothing to do with the events in the PotC movies, and is actually going to be an RPG.
According to GameInformer, you play as a pirate named Sterling, who arrives in the Caribbean only to be cursed and forced to stay. From there, you go through a whole chain of unknown events only to arrive at an unknown climax which rockets you to the unknown resolution to the unknown conflict.
Your moral choices will shape Sterling into either a swashbuckling Legendary pirate, or an evil Dreaded pirate. Legendary pirates are friendlier in appearance, more agile, and use wit and trickery to get by. Dreaded pirates are more foreboding, have access to black magic, and use more brute force to fight. Needless to say, my ambition to be the biggest starfish in any RPG leads me to be evil. So naturally I will attempt to shape Sterling into a Dreaded pirate. You will also be able to alter his clothing. Awesome.
This game looks pretty promising (translation: This game looks flippin' awesome). I don't know, check out the
trailer.
