Forum idea: Respect System

I suggest we have a respect system for the forums.
Each day you can add or subtract one respect point from a member.

Just having a positive side to it would be better, because really you don't want a negative feeling against you. That way people can't feel bad about them selfs and be over hated. Really you can only have a few people that respect you, or you can have a whole army of people behind you. I expect though a time limit would have to be on there, so you can only give +1 Rep. per 24hours. Maybe limit to how many you can give out a day, like 10? Oh, but the time limit is in place per individual player.

I bet some people would get groups to spam reputation/respect to certain players.
If there is negative respect, I'd expect even more spam of it then positive.

I personally think a system like this would just create more unnecessary drama.

Respect system:
"hey if you plus me i'll plus you!"
handicaps get over 200, and can do anything they really want to without any major impact to their reputation digits.
People with good arguments will be overwhelmed by target's friends.

Were you in ScatteredSpace when they changed to this one? The old one, where you could give negative, was removed because Kearn was trolling everyone by giving everyone negative. A lot of people were freaking out.
