You know In L4D, the weapons they use have lights on them that you can turn either on or off? Well, What I was thinking, was, that we have a keybind light for any weapon, that has then sets a miniature spotlight, that shines for a little distance, so you can see in front of you.

Basiclly, A Key-bind control thats spawns a flashlight beam for your weapon.

so, basicaly when you have the weapon out, the light command activates the gun instead of the light on the player?

No, you Key-bind it, and when you press that key, the light goes either on or off..

i didn't know you could do that without a client sided addon and a server sided one, which is more inefficient than using an already keybound default function

So no, its not possible, and no, you cant do it?

Basically, it would be replacing a crosshair with a (clientside) spawnprojectile, some sort of custom light projectile. Maybe it spawns invisible bullets doing no damage, leaving a long-lasting trail (of light)
