Let it keep going and don't click on it.
It's unresponsive because it's busy.
Would it be safe to assume that the bigger your folder is, the longer it takes? Or is that not how it works?

My friend just updated Blockland, and is having a couple of errors.
1. He gets a ton of "Cannot Opens".
2. The loading on his server is kinda messed up/not loading.
3. Can't host a dedicated server.

Here's why they're crashing (IMO):

BL is loading the cache in console. This causes the actual game window to be labeled as not responding by Windows. If you click on the window, Windows will ask if you want to close the window, since it isn't responding. You just have to let the cache load and do not do anything.

i didn't tell it to close, and it closed after i clicked it :D

Mine sat there blank for awhile, but I was thinking "There's a lot of stuff, of course it's going to take awhile"

So I spent that time organizing my add-ons folder. Sorting the automatically downloaded content from actual add-ons.

Same, I never even got a loading bar.

When I leave my Blockland on trying to build the cache thing, the screen saver kicks in and when I log in again, Blockland is completely white. No response from anything of it at all.
Keep moving the mouse?

It seems that you can no longer start a dedicated server and a client in the same copy of Blockland.

I used to have that problem in v12. Just assign the dedi to one core of the computer and the BL to another, if you have 2+ cores. It probably still works.

Yeah cause the cache database is locked.

now the escape menu doesn't close other menus, like the event menu :o
it just overlaps

Make sure your BL folder isn't read only.

I found out make build cache load quick. I created new folder name anything (I create name it back up addon) to desktop then I open the blockland folder, I grab Add on a folder and drag to new folder. then I start blockland, I saw it were very quick load. then I closed Blockland. I did take add on folder back to blockland folder, It worked for me.
