I don't care if people are smokin' weed, that's fine and all, I just don't like seeing people addicted and needing it. And I just don't need the stuff in my life right now. Since it's illegal right now, I don't feel a strong need to make it legal once more because it's not a part of my life at all...I hope it does become legal, because so far I've seen more convincing and legitimate arguments declaring marijuana not nearly as damaging as cigarettes or harder drugs.
loving alcohol, and cigarettes are both legal, and not only do users usually effect people around them (I read over 1,000 waitresses died one year from second hand smoke as a main cause) and that's what makes me upset. That these things that are PROVEN TO GIVE YOU SERIOUS MEDICAL PROBLEMS, AND NOTHING ELSE are legal and something that has benefits to your system is illegal. Fuuuuuck that. When my family went to restaurants my mom used to say to the hostess after she asked "Smoking or non-smoking?", "You're not really offering me no-smoking, are you. Smoke doesn't just stay in the smoking section and not dare pass over the restricted line to enter the non-smoking area, so really you're just offering us second-hand smoke." My family would facepalm and be embarrassed, but she's right. Although she may have been bitching out the wrong person...the hostess doesn't really decide that or have any say over it even if she agreed with my mom.
