Metal pipes are usually of lower quality, they get very hot very quickly, and even though it's not 100% confirmed, the fumes that come off of heated metal can be linked to Alzheimer's.

So yeah, go with glass. They don't break as easy if you think, but you have to be willing to drop about 40 bucks to get one of good quality. The cheaper it is the less thick it is and the easier it will break. I've dropped my glass pipe a lot and it's never even chipped.

I know a kid who's dad works at a head shop so I can get pipes for only 20 dollars a pop. stuff feels good man.
