I need a good gaming desktop

I need a good gaming laptop that also is good for school, 'cause I'm buying a new computer but my parents can only get one. I want one for my games that is a desktop, but they said I need a laptop for upcoming grades.
I want one that can run GTA4 and L4D2 at decent settings. It should come with things that are useful for school.
I know that not many people read these topics, but if you have anything to say, just put your two cents in.

i sold my laptop and psp in hopes of getting some cash

Anyway, maybe I'll just get a simple laptop for business/students with a student discount and build a computer. Maybe Bisjac could look up some parts for me :D
