Throw molotovs at tanks and shoot them in the head while keeping your distance.
When hordes are coming throw a pipebomb and while they're distracted get to a good position and shoot em dead.

Just find a nice closet and never leave its comfortable safety, especially in versus. Preferably, find a closet in the starting safe room.
