I have to say Badspot, I run in administrator, my folder has normal permissions, and the game usually runs flawlessly. But occasionally, I get that error. Of course I don't run it in the DMG, but it comes up randomly on certain servers. Restarting BL fixes the problem.

I found that if you enable and disable parental controls (if they aren't already enabled) will solve the problem.
