Author Topic: Whats up with 5 year old blockheads having a no swearing rule?  (Read 5599 times)

To try and justify the notion that something may be involuntarily promoted, and, thus, shouldn't be disturbed, is absolutely outrageous.  Not only are you accepting bias, but you're also dividing opinion from fact.  The fact: the word does not harm the person.  In many cases, the person convinces themself that it's offending to the extent of creating a standard within their head.  This can lead to several emotional aspects, such as depression, but it's still ultimately due to the person's interpretation of the word (unless you consider it to harm the body physically, such as in sight and sound).

I understand that there are several attacks made to purposely harm people mentally, which are ultimately referred to as insult.  However, several terms, many of which I'm currently using, can promote this same establishment.  The words that fall into the catagory of being a "swear word" can be used for many things that aren't insult, such as emphasis, common referral, etc.

Regardless of the obvious points, every single word produced could be considered offensive.  Does this imply that we should quit using the english language as a whole because it may lead to emotional disruption?  Or, even, put ourselves in solitude due to paranoia of every inflicting event that occurs within the world?  I don't think so, but you may have a differentiating opinion.
I agree to what you're saying. I just failed to try and convey what I was.

I am not retiring my statements, but I wasn't expecting a debate, and nor do I intend on doing so.
There are truths to both sides of an argument, and as much as I would love to hear things from the view points of another person and try to extend my knowledge to help better my opinions, I was not hoping on doing so today (and not on this subject).

I was not expecting anyone as in depth as you to bother and help answer questions like this topic, which is why I'm suffocating everyone with my opinions without much brown townysis.

We can accept what we want to believe, and I'll leave it at that. I was just trying to share my views to help add perspective to others, and if that was a failure, it isn't my interest to force people into seeing things my way.

Hey people who are swearing troll-like.

Watch your loving language.

Like what? Is there mommys and daddys watching everything they do on the computer, or is it just its just too much for those lifeless bastards? See! I'm swearing now! What are you 5 year olds gonna do about this now!?!?! Ban us swearing people, just know you banning 5 year olds will never be like normal people.

And what's wrong with that? I find being abnormal is unique and fun. People should be free to have their own lifestyles.

Also agreeing with you by saying this, just because one person doesn't do it, and if it won't kill anyone, you shouldn't limit everyone else. I don't like to swear too much (I make references to a word, but I would sensor it, the furthest I would go is "WTF" on rare occasions.)

Now something like national socialist talk THAT is something that should be banned.

OFF TAWPIX: Some idiot at this one server told us all "UMG NO WEAPONS" and he started going through blasting everyone's houses with an RL. Freaking hypocrite. :/

in my opinion, the following sentences are no different:

1.) Oh, good morning!

2.) Go forget yourself.

WAAA I CANT SAY MY BIG BOY WORDS WAAA

it's their rules, if you cant handle them, leave their server, its as easy as that.

That's because people swear so much it loses it's value.

Stupid topic, first of all Badspot has made it quite clear this game is meant for kids. Secondly, if it's a rule and for some reason you can't not talk or can't resist putting curses in to every sentence then you have a problem.

Blockboy1337: dun cuss pls k?
You: forget off prick.
haha, made my day

that was the best way to make my wii run out of virtual memory ever.

If they don't want you to swear don't swear, sounds like you are a 5 year old that swears all day on BL to get back at your parents for not letting you swear IRL. I don't swear so much and I believe it is because my parents have always cursed like sailors, so it never seemed cool or rebellious for me to do it. Although I do on occasion.
This, but I swear often because I just plain find it normal.

If someone finds it offensive, I'll try not to say it.

My father always said,

Swearing is a foolish way to express one's self.
