Author Topic: Rendering a CD unreadable  (Read 7296 times)

Obviously someone who specialized in data recovery could get data off a scratched CD, I just want this destroyed enough that some garbage man isn't going to pick my old CDs out of the garbage and pick through them for the lulz.
Crush it into thousands of tiny pieces and Then melt it in a kiln for hours on end, then poor liquid into a small sphere mold.

or rape it, atleast it'll be scarred for life  :cookieMonster:
You know, that's a bit perverted... anyway, just use something like sandpaper. Or, better yet, scrape it on a rough sidewalk.

Wait, perfect idea.

Insert the CD into your computer, extract all the files, DELETE THEM, and then take out the CD.

Bam. Clean CD.

But now they are on his computer, and destroying that would be blasphemy.

Snap it, then put the 2 pieces in a microwave.

Snap them into tiny pieces, microwave them for ten minutes, grind them up and bake them into muffins to send to your spying garbage man.

Silly little poffin. You need to add purple flurples. But dont forget the poison. Cut from chowder show i hate but i like the purple flurples idea.

Corrupt it. Or you can just poke a pin hole int it.

EDIT: If you're looking for a way to DESTROY the CD then there are CD shredders you can get for as cheap as 20 dollars, i'll post a link if i get one tomorrow morning. It's a bit late here.

Just swipe a magnet across it. That will scramble all of the data, and leave the CD physically unharmed.

Get a shredding machine that has a slot for CDs.

Or you can bury them. Try reading it when it's under 6 feet of dirt :D
