Got sold. It's been confirmed. They are going to re-release a non-stuffty version.

Hi all. As I have mentioned before today, I know one of the EX RTW devs and today he phoned me giving me the info i have been longing to hear. He has told me that APB has been bought over (the IP) and it will be back before Christmas. All of the facilities are being transferred and updated as we speak and the game will be back very very soon (cant say exactly when however).

He also hinted at free to play with micro transactions for the future. I was so glad when he told me i was going to post the news as we chatted but I had to go to do some stuff this afternoon and this has been the first time ive been sat at my PC today. The lights at the RTW building are all on and for the first time in months the blinds are open and again you can see in to the office at RTW Dundee.

He told me the game is staying in Dundee and who has purchased the IP but I dont know if it would be wise to let that cat out of the bag for now but in the meantime ill let you all know that i am the happiest mofo in Dundee at this present time!!

As for the previous purchases from RTW and the connection to EA, that is over so it will look to me like we will all be starting afresh with what was the 1.5 patch we were all promised before the servers were switched off.

I said "what about the people who got refunds/new games from EA?" he said "they dont matter because the game now has nothing to do with EA or the original developers (although he did hint that DEVS are being rehired as we speak to get the game back up and running)

Ill try to keep the info up to date but this is all i have for yall just now..

well, EA is offering refunds. Call em up, ask for a refund, use cash to re-buy, I guess. RTW wiped their database

MapleStory .. only mentioning this because in the Big Bang patch (november or worst case december/new years-ish) they're making the EXP curve 80% easier, (200k exp from 58-59 instead of 1m .. I can finally manage to get a character over 70 .. maybe!)

..and because I've started playing it again for whatever reason. Other than that it's just an online chat room where you kill stuff for teens with too much of their parents money that they can spend on virtual weddings. been there, done that!

at least it's going to feel like I can actually play the game instead of grinding at the same map for 10 hours, then die, lose 10% exp, and have to grind there again!
