I get things like this every month or two.

Recently we had a storm with constant 20-30 mph wind and sort of frequent 40-50 mph wind gusts. The best part was, it happened at night, when I was at my dad's house, surrounded by tall trees with large branches that could fall. Once in the middle of the night, there was a ton of loud popping sounds coming from a transformer, thank god it didn't happen to the one behind my house.

Last night we had winds of up to 70km/h.

15 trees fell on our road.
the power cable downed right on the edge of our driveway.
A transformer blew.
The town was without power for about 15 minutes.
We were without power for 8 hours. (I got to sleep in 'till 10. Missed school. :3)

A tree fell down during a big storm and destroyed our balcony.
