Author Topic: So I got my first (and this year's first) "injury" in metal shop today.  (Read 2616 times)

I was grinding this excess metal off of a chess piece that the teacher poured in the foundry for me. My hand moved under the grinder, but my index finger got touched the grinder wheel (which goes about 3450 RPM AKA really forgetin' fast) for a split second. I didn't cry or scream, since it wasn't very painful. All I said was "Ow" really loud, looked at my finger, saw it was bleeding, and said "oh, it's bleeding." I walked to the sink to wash off some of the blood and was sent to the nurse's office. Now it only hurts if you touch it or blow on it.

Discuse class injuries.

Bandsaw + Full RPM's + Finger = Fuuuuuuu

Those kinds of wounds hurt like forget when they start healing.

Aw stuff really? D:

It's gonna itch like forget too, but you can't scratch it because it'll hurt like forget.

I once dropped an Exacto knife straight down into my foot when at a summer camp. We were cutting out models for model rockets and it slipped out of my hand and went straight into my foot. Luckily I was wearing shoes, but they were thin shoes so it still hurt like stuff and bled for a while.

i remember i sanded off the texture on my left palm on the wire wheel.

and i got like 4 burns in a second when i welded without gloves.

other than that, i was okay!

That's so cool when you do that and then there's no finger print lol.

Warren is the perfect crime partner.

I hate raw skin injuries. I always but bandages on them to stop any airflow from causing the nerves to go insane.
