Improving on something doesn't make it different in every way.
But both are different in at least one small way. Notice how I said "=/= ripping something off totally"

Bonus Fun fact: Sony had the move in the works since the EyeToy was being tested.

Also, there was a game called "Eyetoy: Kinetic" built for the eyetoy, coincidence?
Quote from: Merriam-Webster.com
Definition of KINETIC
1: of or relating to the motion of material bodies and the forces and energy associated therewith
Kinect is named after the word Kinetic, kind of like how the Move is named after how you move it to control games.

REALLY, IS THAT WHY I POINTED THAT OUT?

My way of saying "motion control is a stupid gimmick, stop making this stuff."

You pointed it out as if you were trying to say that Kinect ripped off the name of an eyetoy game

I never really favored motion gaming itself. There are some good Wii games out there, but my favorites don't involve jumping around and flailing your arms like a fool.

I grew up playing SNES, N64 and the best of the Game Cube. I just want to sit back and press a bunch of buttons. I don't want to have to shake my controller. I really hope Nintendo and the other game companies turn away from the whole motion thing.

Agreed. This whole motion control bullstuff is becoming irritating.

Then again, this stuff is being marketed to a family demographic, so they're ignorant about what games are, and how fantastic some have been without the need for stupid flailing around gimmicks.

All I want to know is: Does Kinect work well and are there good games/Will be good games by Christmas?
