Author Topic: Gravity Globe  (Read 2010 times)

The Gravity Globe, a Fictional item that is used to illuminate dark areas. What I was thinking for this was that the player would have a Gravity Globe in his tool Inventory (Q), and when he wanted to use it, he would hold down left-click, and throw it up in the air, and the globe would stay there for a few minutes, and illiminate the whole area. It would be like Dodgeball weapon, just instead of killing people, it would stay in the air, and light up everything like F*cking christmas! The player would not be able to throw a second Gravity Globe until the first one burns out. Sound good?

Picture Time!

Additional Information for this item.

Sounds awsome! /support if I could

Also if kade posts in this he'll probably say
Ill model it

Would it be limited to one active per player, or per client? If it is per client, should throwing a second after respawning but while the first is active completely fail, or remove the old one and throw a new one? Can they be created by events, and if so, what sort of limits should be used to prevent spamming, if any?

Well, the player would not be able to throw another one, and if another player threw a seconds one like 20 studs away from the first one to get more light, yes, but the player is only limited to 1 at a time. You can remove your first if you would like or the admins can say a command like /cleargravityglobes but, the player can shoot it with a firearm, such as a basic weapon, like a gun. The gobe would shatter, and its liquid contents that keep it in place would fly all over the place. They can be created by events, just you would have to activate it, and if you wanted to move it, you would duplicate or re-build another one, but just throwing a globe in the air would be enough.

Idk, I just had to post it.

And he said he didn't like guns.:cookieMonster:

Its the 51st century, The church has moved on. Yet the Catholic army only uses basic 21st century weapons, and basic flashlights. Yet, we carry teleports, and still, we dont bother to use it to teleport it inside the ship instead of climbing up 5 levels of catacombs that are flooded with drive-burn radiation, and could explode at any second.

I'll upload a picture later today or tommorow on how it would look on Blockland.

Its Off of Doctor Who with the weeping angels Nice for dark areas

Take a Spear, give it a light, remove the model, stick in the Nailgun's nail-sticking script.

Dosent the nails just fall down?

Or you could set a bright list on a brick. But if you are asking for a minigame item, like, to signal someone or something like that, but if your asking for something to light up a dark place, you may want to hit L in game.

Yeah you cant hit the light key, but thats a stuffty ass light, and if your on a survivor RP, your player cant float in air or can it? and light up the whole area. The gravity globe would light up about half the the Bedroom - Dark map.
