This, without having to click many times would help me very much.
clicking the first block of the letter (if on) would make the word appear in the line of your print blocks

commands: /up to make your word go upward. /down to make your word go downward. /right etc. /left etc. /off /on

example
*click*A*enter* *click*B*enter* *click*C*enter*
i had to click everytime for each letter.

*click*ABC*enter*
i typed in the whole word and pressed enter, then the word would appear full written.

Its on the SwissArmyGun.
Printfill.

Instead of clicking, you can press letters or numbers on your keyboard when in the print menu. Easy letter printing.

By click he means shooting the brick with the printer.

No. This sets all the print bricks to the same letter. He wants something to type out words and such.

He wants something to type out words and such.
That would require all the print bricks you're using to be one brick, which is impossible to do, as you can only set one print to the target brick.

Wrong. I could make this.

he wants to input a string, then have that string put the letters to the side on the print bricks adjacent to it, and instead of left and right, what about east, south, west, north?

Wrong. I could make this.
I probably could too.
It'd just check for a row of bricks, and print as much as the message you typed in, via gui of course, can fit on the row of print bricks available.

that, or just type a command?
/print lalalalala
would then print lalalalala

Or how about just type in a normal chat message?

Could you make it so that you could enter /command blah and the next four print bricks you place would read B, L, A, and H, with a cancel to stop automatically setting the next one? It seems like it would be very difficult to detect a row of print bricks, since they could be at different sizes and such.

This is why I suggested that you hit a brick with it, then type a message in the chat.
It would keep going a direction of the brick till it meets a different kind of brick, or can't find one.

Let's say you had 5 1x1 print bricks in a row, and you type "Hello!", it would put just HELLO on the bricks.
I don't think it should do multiple lines because of how many special situations there could be.
I'll start working on it now.

@bt
No.

Not only does this not even use a printer or print bricks at all, but it leaves a mess of spam and leaves a bunch of idiots amazed because it was spelled out automatically.
