Overall: 9.7

Graphics: 9.8/10
          Textures: 10/10
          Models: 10/10
          Effects/Emitters: 10/10
          Optimization: 9/10
Conclusion: The game is stunningly beautiful and can render vast worlds while keeping a high framerate. The only reason why optimization lost a point is because multiplayer will have a slight connection lag unless you install the game to the hard drive. This has been confirmed by me and other people who will remain anonymousness.

Gameplay: 9.5/10
          Singleplayer: 10/10
          Multiplayer: 9/10
Conclusion: I was pleasantly surprised with the gameplay, it didn't resemble MW2 gameplay at all and Treyarch did a wonderful job of making their game THEIR game. The action is intense yet it still keeps that sense of realism. The campaign was great and I enjoyed every single second of it (except for a few repeated deaths) and it was pretty dam long too. The storyline was actually pretty well executed although it seemed somewhat sci-fi. The multiplayer seems to be a tad bit unbalanced with weapons and some maps are horrible designed (cough cough Nuketown cough cough). The money system is pretty well planned out also and it stills keeps that sense of ranking system since you have to both unlock weapons and buy them. The theater mode is a tad bit buggy sometimes when trying to load a file and such but it honestly seems to be better executed than Halo: Reach's theater system. The multiplayer bots that you can fight was a great idea, the bots don't quite play like real players but it's a good way to develop your aim and reflexes.

Zombie Mode: 9.5/10
Conclusion: Yes this gets it's own category since it's probably one of the main reasons people bought this game. There's three zombie maps to what I believe and I'm not sure how to unlock the last map but you have to complete the campaign to unlock the second map. The gameplay is pretty standard from World At War but it seems be finer polished. They way they set up the lighting adds that needed atmosphere to the game. Such as if you're walking up a staircase and you see shadows of zombies breaking in through the window on the wall. It's quite enjoyable yet they seemed to make it an assload harder since zombies will jump down from rooftops and ventilation shafts and such. My only issue with the zombie mode is that it's quite laggy in multiplayer, for example if you shoot a zombie with a shotgun, the hit doesn't register until about 2 seconds later. And no it's not my internet because I do have 10mb connection. This has also been confirmed by other people.

Conclusion: The game may be a tad bit overpriced but if you're looking for a good game I'd recommend paying that extra 10 bucks (or 80 bucks if you get the special edition or whatever the hell it is). Treyarch did a better job than I anticipated and the game is almost flawless in my opinion. I know it's an overrated game but now I can kinda see why since it's ACTUALLY GOOD.

And your argument would be?

I feel this game is being mocked just because it's part of the Call of Duty series but it's actually really good. It's not "just MW2 with vehicles!" It's actually a really fun game and I can be you five bucks that you probably didn't even try Black Ops or even read my review to begin with.

Yeah you're probably right

the last map is that secret dead ops arcade

is it actually called national socialist Zombies in this?

Communist Zombies would be more appropriate

in one of the maps you play as the original national socialist zombies cast
they time travel from der riese

It feels like its not even CoD anymore :D

This actually looks pretty good, might pick it up later.

Is it just me or does this play a lot like CoD4 and BF2 combined?

Call of Duty II will always be the best CoD. Modern Warfare was alright, but I'm flat out impartial to the new incarnations of the first Modern Warfare game.

I still think it's just a reskinned MW2 with perk icons from WaW (not to mention zombies and the return of a few god-awful killstreaks), and maps that for whatever reason remind me of CoD4

but maybe that's just me.
