WHAT ABOUT WII

this topic is clearly not a vote on casual gaming. these are the big boy's toys. for real gamers.

I have both, I used to be a PS3cigarette before I got a 360. I really like the 360 more and it's a lot more entertaining imo.

Found this one of 4chan:

Sony Defense Force strikes again bringing you terrible arguments and over exaggerations.

PS3 has no good non-exclusive games.
Since the Xbox 360 seems to have them but just better off.

I mean people voted the Xbox 360 to have the best controller, that alone is good.
Plus there's the costs, Kinect is out, Xbox exclusives are highly anticipated and make lots of sales.

I vote Hugelikexbawks.

also Kinect > Move

even though they both suck move is just an improved Wii to be honest, Kinect does something unique

also Kinect > Move

They had Kinect at Walmart, brand new. So we went to try it out.

While my friend Alex was across the entertainment section on the PS3 Move, I was trying out Kinect. It kept losing track of me for some reason (I was playing some crazy dance game), and the walmart employee told me to move more slowly. I tried that, it then completely lost track of me for some reason. He was all like "you need to get rid of the sweater" and "make sure people arent behind you", so after I took off my hoodie and everyone moved from behind me, I tried again, and it still couldn't keep track of me.

Alex came over and tried it. Same deal, it's either we're too short or too tall, or too close, but we tried everything and couldn't get it to work.

After that we went over to try out Move. It was quite different from Wii, I was expecting it to be a clone basically, but the Move supports complete 3D moving (instead of a shake-sensor in the controller like the Wii, when you move the controller in a different angle it actually tracks that) and we were playing some awesome Archery game. It took less than 5 seconds for me to get the hang of it. It felt really natural, and I was good at shooting arrows n' stuff. Later on I was slicing up some fat monday on this awesome sword combat game that game with Move.

Although there was one problem with the Move, is that if you move the white ball thing on the end of the controller behind something, it loses track. Big whoop?

Kinect is meant to have space in between it and little movement outside your own. The sensors are sensative, as are the Move's.

Also the only thing that seems interesting about Move is that building game. It looks hot.

I wonder if Dance Central will replace Dance Dance Revolution in arcades. :o

Real advice:

Don't listen to anybody's opinion. Meet up with a friend who has an xbox 360 or ps3, and play with them for a while, and form up your own opinion on what you want.

Everyone you talk to about the subject (especially on the internet) will be extremely biased.

I like them both, but honestly the Xbox 360 has provided me with more fun.
The PS3 has great Exclusives like Infamous, Fat Princess, Little Big Planet etc. I don't like how the theme is so black or blue, and it doesn't have all the coverage of gaming news the Xbox does, the controller feels a bit too small for my huge hands too, but it's fun.
The Xbox has a larger controller which I like a little bit better, Has a nice theme, has alot of easy to browse media and news, my favorite game series is on there too (Fable)

I am on team Xbox because it is just more user friendly? Batteries are easy to switch and cheap where I get them, It has Kinect which is really cool, can't wait for Fighting games on there, and Kinectimals is fun when you're high.
I think you will have more fun with an Xbox if you are looking for online games, or any form of multiplayer, if you are looking for mainly single player  get a PS3.

Also buy everything at Costco

Remember the L4D1 trailer?
Remember what Bill said when Louis got freed by Zoey and with her help shoot a hunter to death while still incapped?

I didn't. It was somewhere in /v/
And no one commented on my hardware link from the biggest xbox cigarettes on the planet. Why is that?

The 360 has a better controller but the PS3 rarely gets the yellow light of death. It usally does when you leave it on for weeks like my friends does with his PS2 and it just stopped working.

Because I didn't see it. I still don't see it.

In relation to the chart Kevdude posted: Both the Xbox and ps3 upscale games. No new decent games released for either console actually run at 1920x1080, both consoles render the games at low resolutions and them upscale them so that there is more ram available for in game content. For example, both the xbox and ps3 versions of MW2 render at a pitiful 1000x600 (Note that this is blow the "HD" standard) resolution which is then scaled up to 1920x1080. While there is no argument that the PS3 has superior processing power, but it is pretty much wasted due to the small amount of ram it has.

Who the forget decides the better controller? Not to rant, but I struggle to play a 360 controller, the controller is wide, and stretches my hands.
