Post you're virus stories here

I don't have any, due to the fact i don't browse research.

I once had a virus where this pop-up appeared in the bottom-right corner of my screen every 5 seconds telling me my computer had a virus (WHICH IT DID) and did this fake scan telling me all my files were infected, and tried to get me to buy something from a webpage that didn't exist, and I had to do system restore to get rid of it.

Oh lord.
Before I had Windows 7 I used to have a Windows Vista.
That computer went through alot, and one day encountered the Conficker Worm. It had to be wiped.
Then I think about 3 months after, It was infected with the horror of the Trojan/FakeAV virus. Rogues are scary.

But my Windows 7 laptop has been though more.
Heres my Kaspersky Antivirus History:
Virus: 7
Trojans: 74
Malicious Tools: 33
Adware: 0
Riskware: 482

Unless it has a virus scan, don't download it. :)

That report is from this whole year.

Also, I keep a album of antivirus messages on my computer (Including Vista and 7)
Heres all of them in one picture.

I shall rule this topic of my virus ways.

Most rouges are actually easy to get rid of with a little knowledge. I got one one day right after getting my new laptop. I had installed virus protection a few day earlier. If you want to get rid of it just go to your system 32 folder, copy your task manager and paste it to your desktop. Rename the task manager to anything. Kill the Rouge in the processes. Do the same for your internet if you need to access it for details.

Do rogues block those applications?

They usually do. When they do they usually do it by just blocking program names on a blacklist file. Not the actual file.

One day, Google gave me a bucket of Trojans or Spyware or something and I was like "no thanks bro" then I received a certificate on Xenobiology(which I made up to forget with you.)

Then I will have to keep that in mind incase I get a Rogue.

I have never gotten a virus.
