So I'm a fan of valve and the half-life series, I really enjoyed HL2, it was one of the more fun FPSs I've played.
But there's something just kind of off about the whole thing, Gordon is supposed to be one of the foremost theoretical physicists in his field, he should be in the lab, but for some reason he runs around shooting national socialists. I mean, I appreciate that he needs to escape the columbine's oppressive rule so he can do all his theoretical physicism but why is it that he can't even operate the simplest of devices without someone's help.
Another thing that's kind of off is the whole Alyx situation, as any google search will tell you the internet loves them some Alyx, but I retain that that is a seriously creepy relationship.
When Gordon was first working for Black Mesa Alyx was a little girl, Eli, if not his friend, was at least his colleague so Gordon coming back into this plane of existence and boning on his bro's DAUGHTER is kind of a richard move.
Also you figure that the whole time Gordon is with Alyx he's covered in blood of various kinds and probably has several bullets in his body, so the last thing either of them would be thinking of doing is screwing.
I just thought I'd share this opinion with you guys.
