China would back up North Korea if we did do something.

Not through war though, they would use all that money we owe them against us.

That's just one of my theories though.

North Korea has shelled South Korea multiple times before, and the US reaction has always been the same. Everything happening now has happened before. North Korea has to throw a fit every once and a while so people remember it's still there. No doubt North Kore is going to find some way to spin this in a couple of months so it ends up getting more foreign aid. They'll say something like "we will consider multilateral discussions on our peaceful nuclear power program and as a gesture of goodwill we will let 20 foreign doctors into our nation to help treat malnutrition to become educated in glorious Korean medicine."

NK and SK just need to annex or do something else, because NK is using all bark but little bite. They will get loving stomped into the ground if they try to do any national socialist Germany type stuff...yeah, less than 6 deaths, but they were deaths caused by a different country.
