Onlive is a program that lets you play games on your computer.
The catch?
You don't download it. You just stream it but you have full, instant control instead of saying a command and the computer does it.
Website: www.onlive.com
I might stream Assassins creed 2 later since I got it for free because I bought a 5 day thingy of Just cause 2
My username is Moriarty so its obvious which is me
But its interesting. The TV program thingy is released and, comes with a free game! It costs 100 dollars but looks worth it.

i installed but it gives me an error when it opens :(

I don't like this personally. It takes away so much of what I like about PC gaming, like the ability to mod and skin games, the ability to just absolutely kill a game in terms of graphics, and stuff like that.

For people with high end PCs, this is actually a step down. It's nice for people with lower end PCs because they can get most of the effects of the higher end graphics experience, but for people like me with powerful rigs and 1080p monitors, it looks noticeably worse than other games.

Also I don't like the implications of the fact that you can't play any of your games without an internet connection. I see this working better as a monthly subscription or Netflix affair, where you can have X amount of games for X amount of time, like, say, you pay $10 a month and you can play one game, a month at a time. $20 is two games, etc. I just don't like that you pay $50 for a game, full price, and then can't play it if your internet is out.

This is a big step forward for the proverbial Cloud, but there are big aspects of it I'm weary of.

edit: I do like that you can get a free 30 minute free trial for most games. It's a feature I wish Steam had.

Not in the same way this does, and definitely not with all games.

let me get this straight, you can play a game with this WITHOUT downloading it? like i could play borderlands on my grandma's stuff computer and it'll run fine?

she runs windows XP and has about 550 mbs of ram

Not in the same way this does, and definitely not with all games.

This has 30 minutes trial lol.

This has 30 minutes trial lol.
Yeah, and I prefer that over Steam's trials in some ways. Or, given the option between Steam's system (rarely has a full fledged trial where the developer actually made a separate trial version) and this version (30 minutes of the full game for what appears to be all games) I'd choose OnLive's system.
