you have a "high end" card but you are getting 24fps? even at high settings that is terrible.
"ok" is like 40+
Lol, I'm getting like 50fps windowed. What I'm saying is the human eye sees at 24 or so fps, so having more is completely loving useless.

That is simply not true; our ability to perceive the changes in an image varies from person to person, just as our perceptions of taste, sound, and color can vary. Gender, ethnicity, age, and a variety of other factors can affect our ability to notice certain effects. An example of this is the "mosquito ringtone", a sound whose frequency simply can't be heard by most adults, but can easily annoy younger people whose ears are still sensitive enough to hear it.

Thus whilst 24 FPS may be sufficient for some people, others do notice the difference and find that a higher FPS is more desirable (or necessary) for enjoyment.

I find it very useful for non-gaming, for gaming it just looks weird, especially since my two monitors have a large difference in size.
I use it quiet often when I'm making add-ons, having Notepad++ in one monitor and Blockland in the other.

I have a quad optional monitor setup.

1 laptop screen that's 22"
1 62" HDTV (use this for movies)
1 32" monitor (use this for art and modeling)
1 22" monitor (use this for gaming)

All 3 of those monitors are connected through an hdmi switch that disables them completely until I decide to turn them on. The laptop doesn't even realize they're plugged in until I switch them on.

I used to run Dual screens, but now since I'm more into PC gaming I don't have a use for 2 screens, And plus if you run a game in full screen, guess what.. Can't click out of it unless you hit the windows button, so you're stuck looking at the same thing.

Better pics! :)

It got all pixely after I resized it from over a thousand pixels, then to 480, then 720.

Monitor: HP vs17e

Computer: Dell XPS 8000

Edit: attached an overall picture

Edit 2: pictures of the old computer, yes there are two speakers, but the other one is hidden by the monitor.

lol i hate computer desks that want you to keep the tower in some cupboard on the floor or something. i need my crap accessible all the time.

Some people's gfx cards can handle running windowed games on high and still have no lag or problems. I just finished testing this.
I can run sc2 on full everything and have 5 tabs open in firefox on my other screen, and everything runs perfectly.

Just zooming in on that Facebook lets us find you.

I have been considering doing this for a while now. Very nice.  :o

It shows innocence, imagine all of his posts without ":o"

I guess this also counts as a "post your desks" thread.
If that pagestretches you, you need a new monitor.

I'd take a higher quality picture from my camera...if it didn't get stolen. :(

I'm getting another monitor for christmas :)
