Author Topic: Server hosting annoyances.  (Read 1642 times)

Firstly, I have an admin on my server who starts being abusive. The only solution would be to kick/ban him. "Sorry you cannot kick/ban admins" is the horrific result. Host should be able to kick/ban anyone.

Secondly, the fact that anyone can walk into your server, save your bricks, load it on their server and claim it as theirs is not one that appeals to me. There should be an option to turn on/off client saving, or only admins should have the ability to save.

somebody's posted a thing about brick saving....but the admin thing would be good : D

Are you serious? That's the stupedist thing i've ever heard.

He/she should! It's his/her own server and he/she can do whatever he/she wants. But not with Badspot's can't ban function.

*cough* sarcasm *cough*

may i suggest then
buildiung in the basement
there is no way in there unless you f8 so people cant see your bricks so people cant save them unless you let them see it

Yes there is. You get out of the bedroom by crouching and jetting towards the window, thus getting out, and go around the edge of the bedroom until you find a dip that you can crouch into, there should be a hole that looks like a basement type texture, thus being the basement.

Just a basic description/walkthrough, you should be able to find it now.

'Tis way more complex then that. ;)

Firstly, nobody likes you. Secondly, Shadowed told me he built it so lay off.

lol...what was the build?

Genius idea with the brick saving idea.  And I've been lucky enough to not experience a crazy admin because I only allow the people whom I'm either on teamspeak or yahoo talk with to be admins.  And I can yell at them if they do something stupid xP

If you do not absolutely trust the person, do not give them Super Admin. It is possible to kick/ban normal admins, if I remember correctly.

If you want people to be able to see the build, then information on where the bricks are must be sent to them, therefore it can be saved to a file or decoded. While it may be possible to make it harder or easier for clients to save your bricks, what's the point? It will always be possible for people to save your bricks clientsided, unless you do not host servers with them in.
