Author Topic: AutoBridge V1.2  (Read 29578 times)

i know i did look through the script I was changing it so you can put your own keybind

Look through the script. Truce made it so the brick has the ownership of the BLID "1337" and named it Autobridge.

This actually wasn't just for giggles; it accomplished two things. One, it prevents people from building on it and changing its properties, which was a bit inconvinient when you moved and lost all the properties. I didn't want to have to add extra code to preserve the properties, because it wasn't the goal of the mod. Two, if you save a build and people were on Autobridges (admins can disable them temporarily though), you can clear BL_ID:1337's bricks when you load to get rid of the bridges.

Also, a fact people don't seem to know: Typing /light with something after it will use the light like normal, since Autobridge takes over the command. So you could type /light 1, /light real, or even /light asdfghjkl, and you'd get your light as expected. However, this doesn't always work if there are other mods that utilize the light key (T+T weapons is a popular one), because they didn't expect something to be put after /light.

Thanks i've been waiting for this.

EDIT:It won't let me download :(

Way to post someone else's add-on, asshat.

get the forget out

also drendran is 100% right

I changed the script that way there is a flat 64x64 brick protecting me from falling, i tried driving a vehicle on it but it made my person spaz at and i figured out that if your on the brick you can build upon that 2x2 or whatever and then press L again and the brick will be floating in mid-air.

I'm going out on a limb to say this would be the bane of my obstacle courses, no?

64x64 is utterly useless due to how the script works. You spaz out because the script constantly checks to make sure you're above the brick, then moving you to a slightly higher area. But moving people while in a vehicle messes you up. Floating bricks are old as the game is young.

disable building.

As far as I'm concerned, if someone wants to post an add-on because the owner hasn't/doesn't want to then it's fine provided it works. If the owner wants to officially submit it themselves, I'll remove the other submissions.

what if some starfish posts an add-on you don't want them to post

Is this client sided? Because if it is I'm going to be pissed
