even if you run, you can't outrun a loving bullet, you're too deep in this stuff to get out and there's no turning back. so you must ram them with the shield and hope to dear god that they don't get a clear shot of your head.

Of course there's the fact that these guys aren't trained with guns as demonstrated one panel ago in which the leader fellow missed an incredibly easy shot. You aren't dealing with professional soldiers.Yet.Just a bunch of hoodlums who found some weapons.
