I feel this is a fairly nice laptop
That actually looks pretty good for  laptop.

Are you sure you need a laptop? You could find ones like that laptop for considerably less money.

I'm pretty sure "santa" won't be getting you an 800 dollar laptop, unless "santa"'s relatives refuse to accept gifts and he saves up for a several months.

Technically, I don't NEED a laptop. But I want one. I go to friends alot, and taking turns on the computer is a major drag. And long road trips. We drive to California every year from Washington. Not many things to do when you hate your siblings with a fury.

What games do you plan to play? And laptops are not the most reliable thing on this planet, either. It depends on thebrand.

Here are the two ends of the spectrum:

Games like Crysis: Probably the Intel i series, with a nvidia 240gt. 2000 plus in a laptop. about, 1200 in a desktop Im guessing.

Valve Games: Computer with a Pentium processor should be good, and Nvidia geforce 8 series. about 800 in a laptop, 500 in a desktop.

I mean, im just estimating there. Crysis you need a batstuff insane computer to run maxed out on.

The Valve games need a decent computer pretty much.

WAT??/
SANTA IS REL U LIER!

People just bash [things] because they hear other people bashing it.

Well, I thinkthis is good. A friend helped me out and said that this can play 3D gaming, just not like Crysis or anything. Mostly valve games.

Currently on my desktop, I can run every Crysis game maxed on settings. I only get about 20-30 FPS. But still

Toshiba has some pretty decent laptops for a cheap price.

Got my Satellite from my dad, before he went cyco, but anyway,
It's a pretty good laptop. Fast, can play TF2 with only little lag, but if you consider what your getting for the price, it's a good deal.

Besides, there's many Satellite models, each is better than the other, you could probably get a better one for only a little bit more.

If you want, you can look here...

I know they look basic, but they are pretty good...

Here's how I look at it;

If you're primarily going to be using it at home, get a new desktop computer, for say 800$ you can get a really good custom built rig that you can upgrade in the future. The biggest down side to a laptop is the lack of customization/upgrade for big components such as your gpu and your cpu. Batteries are a pain in the ass for the most part since they usually don't last very long on gaming laptops.

So, yeah. That's my take on it. If you were to ask me, don't get a lappytoppy.

-snip-
If thats how much that one costs, then Im sure the one I have listed can play TF2 full settings and no lag.

The laptop I posted can run Crysis
