blockland is a side project of his. he has a real career that is unknown to us all.
i think he was involved with garage games a while back. but not for awhile now.

blockland was never his livelihood. and even if it was, he couldn't rely on it alone as income.
sure it made some bucks, but not retirement money. the guy needs work you know.

i was always curious what he was working on. maybe he joined up with some designers and has been working on something. game i would like to follow if we heard of it.

I'm pretty sure he goes under an alternate identity, simply because how would he ever get into a relationship or get a job at most places if they knew that he was the producer of animated research. Sure it would look great to put "I've created a few games and a thriving community" on your resume, but eventually they would find out about your research. I doubt his real name is Eric Hartman.

You know Badspot really isn't that creative a name? It's just two nouns. It's not like it's a really sophisticated name like, Sontictus. Because that would obviously be the same person. But no, Badspot isn't like a very unique name.
