:( tell him your internet friend says I hope he gets better.
One time while snowboarding in Sweden, I was doing a trick off of a 45' ramp (45 feet from the base of the jump to the lip, about a 25' straight downfall from the lip) and everything was going well until the landing where I caught an edge and my board slid to the left which caused me the slide into powder (luckily) causing my board to stop completely after moving probably 35mph. I broke my left knee in 3 spots, broke my nose, broke my right forearm in half (there was a crack going straight down the middle of the bone) broke 3 fingers and dislocated my right ankle. Did I mention there was a tree in the powder that I flew into? The breaks and injuries were so bad I had to get airlifted my arm break was so bad that in the helicopter, they had to inject me with needles to pop the bone into place, each needle probably 3mm wide, and since we were flying in the air, they didn't have painkillers to numb the area so I had to deal with the pain, it was so bad that after the 3rd needle/pin I passed out.
True story, I have the hospital wristlet hanging on my wall somewhere, lol. The hospital bill was insane, and I had about 5 surgeries done. Was in hospital for 3 weeks.
That was some time ago, I think my 11th year of snowboarding. Feels bad man, ended the season 3 weeks into it ):
