Author Topic: Onlive PlayPack. Free* Games Until January 14th  (Read 607 times)

Onlive recently sent out an email introducing their new payment option, PlayPack. It's 10 bucks a month for unlimited games.

"Just $9.99/month, starting Jan 15th. Free PlayPack Beta* is NOW!"

I saw the *, and thought now what's the catch?

"PlayPack Beta available exclusively to OnLive Game System owners*."

FFFFUUUU-

Anyone else disappointed by this?

Uh, that's what OnLive is.

No. They removed the monthly fee. What the op said is that they are introducing something optional like gametap to get freegames.

I was talking about the console. Of course you have to have the console.

onlive works on pcs, bro.

I didn't know that, I thought it was just a console.

The small print says the beta for free games only works on the console.

There's also a console version. It's like a cable box with a controller so you can play the game on your tv. That's what this deal applies to.

So I have to pay 100 bucks for the system and then 10 bucks a month to use it.
With the, what, twenty games they have on it (only three of them I'm interested in)? Nah.

It's $10 a month for unlimited play to those select games, plus they will be adding more. They have almost every PC game you can buy and play or rent and play directly from the console, also the console comes with a free game of your choice, so you could get a $60 game and the console would only be $40. It's a good deal but I have a good comp so I have no use for it. It's basically a gaming computer for $40, a great deal for you nubs with $200 laptops you got 10 years ago that want to play some games.
