Yeah, that's definitely true. There's a few people in the community who aren't forgettarded and/or 9 yrs. old and can actually use ROBLOX's LUA to make things that aren't stuff.

But The updates always usually winds up breaking them.

In terms of lag, this is true.

In terms of mechanics, it's not too terrible. The physics are solid, and there's a very good scripting environment. It's just a bunch of 8-year-olds doing it wrong.
