So today I woke up and came downstairs to play blockland. I had just gotten on when my dad came in and asked for me to help with the Xmas lights. When I said I didn't want to he got all mad and said,"the get off that game and go do your History homework!" in a real mad tone. I said ok and went and started on it. I came in there after I left and he was looking at the computer messing with it. Turns out he was shuting down the Internet. My mom says that it may be a while till we get the Internet back, if not forever. So pretty much I can't do anything on the computer that involves the Internet, but what really stinks is that we just got a new computer the week before. This is making Maze ANGRY.

You can fix it if you actually knew what he was doing. You can't 'shut the internet down' but you can shut off a router or unplug an Ethernet cable. How are you on the internet right now anyways?

The OP is probably just computer inept and accidentally disconnected from his wireless network.

Moral of the story: Help people do what they ask, or else they will get pissed.
2nd Moral: If someone has more authority than you over what you do, you better listen to them. (Even though it's a total ass move to control people for everything)

Serious? You said you didn't want to put lightbulbs up and you lose access to the internet?

Also, unless your dad is that good with computers and found some way to completely remove internet, he can't just shut off the internet. He probably just removed the connection setup or removed the ethernet cable. Lol.


From what I can understand, though, he wasn't removing the network hardware from the computer, so it's probably really easy to set up again.
