Hey,
As you well know, I'm that kind of forum member that tests and makes a lot of crap, almost all of it unrelated to programming in Torque hue hue.
A while back, in 2008, I tried Blok which was a magazine for Blockland. Needless to say it sort of turned into poop. I've also been running Blockland On Air for a while, but I think the content quality has deteriorated quickly and I'm not so sure its heading down a path worthy of my time.

I've really been into setting up some form of regular media over the last few years, and while I know a few blogs have popped up I'm interested in seeing if there is a demand for a quality, well written, journalistic news source for Blockland. This isn't just crappy paragraphs written by kids who are bad at grammar, I'm talking about some really quality articles. Currently I'm only working on Isar Tower and AfterBlock, but my general rule of thumb is 3 projects and no more. But I think that, with my progression of journalistic writing (I've actually been working with journalists recently and learning forget loads) and the hacks and tricks I've picked up regarding blogger over the years, I could provide a very high quality blog based news source-- I've also lead a lot of projects now, so I know how to handle Blocklanders. But I'm not going to waste my time if nobody wants it.

So please vote, and discuss. And just so you know, like every project I've ever done, if it isn't getting enough traffic or isn't progressing at the pace I want, I'm not going to continue it. So I need to find some genuine demand here.

I believe the topic needs your staring now.

Indeed, I would enjoy this.  :cookieMonster:

I think you should do this, Icy, It sounds like a good idea.

It'd be cool, to know what's going on around Blockland. Don't you think?

Why does a building game need a news journal?

Could I help? I helped write several video related blogs. I've even had a article featured in gameinformer (It was a letter to the editor).

Like any piece of software, news on updates to the program, mods, or additions to the game, along with articles related to the community, events, and areas of interest would make the blog a bit like a community news paper.

Ontopic: Sounds like a good idea. I would be more than willing to give up a domian for this.

Its okay, I could cover that. :3
Having an additional author right off the start sounds coolio. I'll jump on Steam, I'm IcyGamma there too.

It would need to be similar to your first blockland on air shows.

They were great and had things I were actually intrested in hearing, its just hard to find alot of info every week seeing as crazy intresting things dont happen alot here.

What sort of community news would be featured?
