I need help moving a steam game to a new account.

Hi i need help. well this is the story.

I wanted to buy MW2 so i looked in the paper and there it was MW2 so i went to the guy and bought the game off him. when i got home i inserted the disk and installed it but i accidentally installed it on his account in the manual it had his steam account and password so i installed it on his account buy now i want it on my account that i have made so how would i move MW2 to my account and the save game so how would i do that. is it possable or not i think it is but how would i do it would i reinstall the game but go to the old account and put the save game into the new one.

You cannot transfer games from one account to another. It's not possible.

If it's a boxed copy like it sounds to be then you can just add it to your steam account by using the CD key.
If you fish about on your accounts game library you should find a button to add new games by CD key

It should, but if it doesn't work then you'll just have to switch between accounts when you want to play it, a few extra seconds of your time but whatever

If he still is playing the game, report him to the police for illegally selling a game, also selling a steam account, which is technically did, is also illegal.
