No the actual max level supported by the engine is 255.

You could continue passed the main storyline in Oblivion too, I don't know why they tried to kill you off in Fallout 3.

Could it be that Alduin's soul is to much for the Dragonborn to bear and he dies upon absorbing it? I sure hope not.

I have no problem with occasional fast travel. But would you rather have an incredibly detailed environment, and you had to manually go there, or have a bland, generic environment that's pretty much the same no matter where you go but with teleportation?

You often have to travel the same path multiple times which makes even the most incredible environments boring. Oblivion had some nice environments.

just reinstalled oblivion
it was taking half an hour to load
