What are they removing?

that is why i always suggest getting it for PC. all the features that everyone wants that were removed can just be re added. if you don't like the way something works, get it changed. I fixed the guard detection radius in oblivion and use midas magic to add like 100 new spells and deadly reflex for better combat (shield bashing, kicks). this means spears, more spells, more or less dragons, new dragons, tougher dragons, more enemies, horse mounts, dragon companions and all that stuff can be added. todd even said about riding dragons that even if it was taken out, someone is going to mod it in.
Theyre adding mods for console versions

im thinking you dont know what a mod is lol. because no they arent.

What are they removing?
they aren't really 'removing' anything. it's just that things people have been whining about wanting (spears, dragon mounts, dwarves) have been confirmed as a no. it's not like todd said "oh, there will be spears in this game" then removed them.

Oh, okay. As long as it wasn't hyped about and taken away I'm cool with it.

dragon mounts lol. that would be loving gay.
most of the mods people make are ridiculous. let them do it themselves on the side.

I'm buying it for the console so it doesn't melt my already not top notch computer.
And I sort of enjoy these games more on the console.

Shame they aren't bringing back some great stuff from Morrowind, and I still want a Hardcore Mode like Fallout: New Vegas.

Oblivion had food sitting everywhere, might as well put it to use in Skyrim for people who want a challenge.

Console is more fun, yes, but everyone else plays it on PC because they can, and nobody even gives a care that these games are on console in the first place.
Plus, people enjoy loving around with the console on PC. Xbox doesn't have a console. Wrap that around your head.
Maybe I will get it for Xbox. I still don't know.

The console is for cheaters or people who should be playing a sandbox game.

are you saying console is more fun than pc?

hehehe. Ha.

That's precisely what I'm saying. I enjoy sitting back on a couch with a controller in my hands staring at a television set six feet away, more than I enjoy sitting in a rickety computer chair hunched over a keyboard staring at a monitor five inches away. I've been doing the former since I was a wee lad with an NES. But then we got rid of the NES and got an Xbox. And then the Xbox was trashed and we got a 360. And after that, the 360 Elite. And we've had the Elite ever since.

I hunch over a computer for a select few games(such as Blockland and WoW), but other than that I'm a console gamer.

Get a better computer chair and learn how to sit down.

That's not what I'm saying. It's not that I don't like playing computer games, I just happen to like console games more because they've been with me my whole life.

The console is for cheaters or people who should be playing a sandbox game.
I just exploited glitches in Oblivion, like item duplication. I'd duplicate, say, 192 strong potions and then sell them for profit.
I also used a glitch where I enchanted 104 amulets with the same enchantment(fortify Acrobatics on self), each set of two amulets under a different name(two named A, two named B, and so on), and then I went into a sewer and did the following:
-Equip one amulet named "A"
-Try to equip other amulet named "A"
The game forcibly removes the first amulet but not its enchantment, leaving me with the enchantment as a permanent effect.
I repeated this with the other sets of two amulets, and when I came out of the sewer about an hour later I had an acrobatics skill of about 350.
I suppose this should have gone on the Oblivion megathread. My apologies.

You're saying this as if it is fact, not opinion. Which makes me angry.

Anyway, yeah mods can be used to add anything to the game that you feel is lacking.

Such as this, Oblivion had a few mods that added huger/thirst/sleep dependencies and other stuff, so really, PC is the only way I can considering going with for this game. Though I'll still own it for PC and xbox or ps3 because my brother will be buying it also and he only plays on consoles.

I've actually found that I've been playing on the computer for so long that I just can't play some games with a controller.  Any first person game is just unplayable as I cannot seem to control the crosshair in a functional way. I tried playing Oblivion on the xbox because I can't seem to get my pc copy working and I just couldn't aim my bow/spells.
